Aisling Bea

She adopted the stage name Bea in honor of her father. She also she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the suicide of her family members. Bea, along with her older sister Sinead was raised by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. She and her family loved horses, races as well as the race industry. In her youth Bea worked as an instructor for the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young stage that she was not interested in the racing industry as a job, and enjoyed performing.
